Homemade Mustard
Equipment
- 1 Bowl
- 1 High Speed Blender
Ingredients
- 6 Tbsp Yellow Mustard Seed
- 1/3 Cup White Vinegar
- 1/4 Cup Dry White Wine
- 1 Tbsp Shallot Minced
- 3/4 Tsp Salt
- 1/4 Tsp White Pepper
- 1/2 Tsp Brown Sugar
- Pinch All Spice Ground
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl, stir and cover. Refrigerate for at least 8 hours, preferably overnight, and up to 24 hours.
- Place in high-speed blender and blend until smooth.
Notes
- This makes for a very spicy Dijon-mustard, it will mellow out after a few days.
- The vinegar in this recipe acts as a preservative and allows this to remain fresh for up to 2 weeks in the fridge.Β
